Four companies touch almost every part of modern life, from how we search to how we shop and talk to friends. This One Gotta Go card asks you to remove one completely: Apple, Google, Meta or Amazon. That means every product and service they make disappears too.
Three companies stay, and one is gone forever. Think about the apps on your phone, the devices in your home and the services you use without thinking. Then make your pick and see how much of your daily life changes with it.
Apple vs Google vs Meta (Facebook) vs Amazon
A. Apple
Apple makes the iPhone, Mac, AirPods and more, all designed to work together. Losing Apple would change how many people communicate and work. If you are an Android and Windows person, though, Apple might be the easiest giant to cut.
Keep it if: Your phone, laptop and earbuds are all Apple, and you cannot imagine switching everything.
B. Google
Google runs search, Gmail, Maps, YouTube and Android. It is woven into almost everything online. Cutting Google would be hard, but some people say other search engines and maps exist, which makes it a possible choice for the bold.
Keep it if: You use Google search, Maps and Gmail every day and would be lost without YouTube.
C. Meta (Facebook)
Meta owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, which connect billions of people. It is how many families stay in touch. Some people would happily take a break from social media, which makes Meta the most common giant to cut.
Keep it if: You stay close to family and friends through Instagram, WhatsApp or Facebook every day.
D. Amazon
Amazon delivers almost anything to your door, runs Prime Video and powers many websites through its cloud services. It is incredibly convenient. Some people prefer shopping local, which makes Amazon a fair cut for them.
Keep it if: Prime shipping is part of your weekly routine, and you love having almost anything arrive in a day or two.
Our take
We would cut Meta, mostly because the other three run tools people rely on for work, navigation and shopping, while social media has more alternatives and plenty of people say they would enjoy the break. The most fun debate usually comes down to Google against Amazon, since both are deeply part of daily routines. Ask everyone to name the one app they would miss most, and see which company owns it. Then try to plan a whole day without any of the four, from the alarm in the morning to the show you watch at night, and see how far you get.
